How To Install The LED Panel Lights?

You have some LED panels that you want to install in your workplace, or even in your home.  The only problem is, they’re a little different from regular lights, and you might not know how to use them together or make them look nice in your office.  We’re here to show you how to properly install these types of lights and make the most of them, while still making them look pretty attractive where they’re installed.  Read on to hear some tips and tricks for properly installing these lights and making them look great!

Why use LED light panels?

LED lights are a great alternative to CFLS because they are more energy efficient and can therefore save you a lot of money in the long run.  As a result of this fact, many apartment buildings and offices are switching to LED lighting.  Many public schools have been using LED lights in classrooms for some time because they help keep students awake and make schools as bright as possible.  Government agencies are also beginning to realize that choosing LED lights is cheaper than any other type of light source.

On top of that, LEDS last much longer than most conventional light bulbs.  LED bulbs, for example, last 50 times longer than CFL bulbs, which means you don’t need to change them as often as usual.  This will also save you a lot of money in the future because you won’t have to buy light bulbs as often.  You’ll even know when the lights start to go bad, because leds slowly dim over time as they start to burn.

How to install them?

As for how to install LED panel lights, first you need to turn off the power and make sure everything is safe before you can start your work.  If you don’t turn off the power, you risk getting electrocuted, yourself and others deciding to touch the wire or help you.  If your family can’t live without electricity for a while, get rid of them.  Also, it could take you hours to deal with this problem, so make sure everything you need has power in case you need to make a phone call or use a computer.  Under no circumstances should you turn on the power while you are still turning on the lights.  So tell everyone in your family not to tamper with your circuit breakers and there will be no accidents.  If you have young children, keep them out of the room where you work.

The light panel itself is easy to install.  You need to know something about how to be an electrician to make them work.  But it’s not too difficult.  You can install these lights in a hanging, ceiling, recessed or wall-mounted installation.  All you have to do is make sure each method has a power cord attached to them, and make sure they’re securely mounted to the ceiling or wall, and you screw them in.  If you have a hanging panel, then you may want to hang them with metal cables to make sure they don’t come loose in the future.  If you’re replacing one LED fixture with another, be sure to find an LED panel that matches the size of the old fixture and is easy to install.  For this, you may need a drill to drill a few holes in the ceiling, as well as a screwdriver that fits the type of bolt you need to secure.

You’ll also need some pliers and rubber gloves to handle the wires.  Make sure that all wires are properly placed at its end and that none are loose.  Also, try to assemble all the parts that go with the lamp before climbing up the ladder to install it.  If your lamps are all assembled together, it will be much easier to install them, rather than piecing them together while they are already hanging from the ceiling or wall.

If you need help, or if you don’t think you’re up to the job, be sure to call an electrician.  Wall fixtures and ceiling fixtures are not too difficult to install, but for some people, they can be too much.  If nothing else, learn some electrician basics before you start working.
